What is The Last Chapter?
The Last Chapter Bookshop is a romance-only bookstore and online shop devoted to celebrating love, storytelling, and community. It offers a curated selection of romance books, exclusive merch, themed book boxes, author events, and fun, immersive experiences for readers.
What is Bookish Match?
Bookish Match is our personalized romance-book matchmaking service, a quarterly subscription where readers fill out a detailed trope-driven questionnaire, and our team hand-selects a romance novel that fits their exact tastes. Each shipment feels like a blind date with a book that was chosen just for you.
Bookish Match Subscription:
- We allow ONE skip per calendar year.
- Skips do not roll over into the next year.
- Skips must be requested at the beginning of the renewal month.
- Once a box is skipped, you cannot unskip it.
- The request must be done via email to support@thelastchapterbookbox.com
International Customers
We ship internationally now! The carriers calculate all shipping rates. We have no control over these costs.
Due to GPSE regulations, we do not ship to certain countries within EU.
What’s your return policy?
- No Refunds or Returns. All sales are final.
- You have 14 days from arrival to report any damages.
- Emails sent after 30 days will not be honored.
- We are not responsible for any damages made from Stackry accounts to final shipment.
Return Policy
- All sales are final. No returns or exchanges are permitted.
- We do not accept returns or exchanges for individual items within your box for reasons outside of our control, or issue refunds for no-show pick-ups for pre-ordered signing exclusives.
- 2. All our merch is printed and distributed directly from our printers. Unfortunately, that does not allow us to oversee quality control before it reaches you.
We will happily replace your apparel if you receive the wrong item, your design is not centered/off in any way, it arrives with stains, or the stitching looks like it will fall apart.
Photos of the damage will be required. As our printer wants to make sure it was their fault for the issue.
What are your policies regarding damaged/missing book box items?
If you have damaged or missing items from your box, please reach out and we will figure out the best course of action. Things to consider before emailing us:
- All damage/missing item claims must be submitted within 14 days of the delivery date.
- Damages are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item(s) so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
- Photos of the damage and proof of purchase are required.
If we deem your order damaged, you must return the product to us before we ship a replacement. We do not cover the shipping cost.
We never intend to send out damaged copies; every single book is personally wrapped and inspected by our team. Even with the most careful packaging, books can experience wear during transit. We don’t have unlimited extras available for every small ding or knick a book may get on its journey, which is why our damage policies are in place. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!
Can I exchange an item for a different size/color?
At this time, we don't offer exchanges. If you’re unsure which size would fit better, check out our sizing charts—we have one for every item listed on our store, in the product description section. Though rare, it's possible that an item you ordered was mislabelled. If that’s the case, please let us know at support@thelastchapterbookbox.com within a week after receiving your order. Include your order number and photos of the mislabeled item, and we’ll send you a new one or issue a refund.
What Books Qualify as damage?
Does qualify as damaged
- A tear/rip/cut or visible scratch over 1 inch on the front of the book or spine
- Residue or marks on the front or spine that cannot be removed
- Large dented or crushed corners (bigger than 1 inch)
- More than one ripped or bent page affects the text on the pages
Does NOT qualify as damaged
- Scratches, marks, or residue on the back of the book
- Page bleeding or unevenly sprayed edges
- White spots or scratches on the sprayed
- Issues with the top or bottom edge of the book
- Creasing or folding on the top or bottom of the book spine
- Wavy pages
- Ripped or damaged blank pages
- Slightly blurry, digitally printed edges
- Off-center digitally printed edges where the whole design is showing
Other important things to note
We do not hold packages, delay/reschedule payments, and cannot change a domestic address to an international address.
